Welcome to Financial District

Financial District (commonly referred to as FiDi) is located at the southernmost tip of Manhattan. Financial District is home to the World Trade Center. The attacks at the World Trade Center, on September 11, 2001, wrecked havoc on the entire neighborhood. Efforts began shortly after the attacks to rebuild much of the neighborhood, but in is only in recent years that the rebuilt World Trade Center has been re-opened.  Although much of the neighborhood is still under construction, there is plenty to enjoy! Please note, that some of the attractions at the World Trade Center (including the 9/11 Museum) may be difficult for young children. Please keep this in mind when exploring Financial District.

Welcome to the Lower East Side

Lower East Side (commonly referred to as L.E.S.) is a historic yet contemporary neighborhood. LES is located northeast of SoHo. LES is home to many nightclubs, as well a historical buildings, museums and monuments. LES is a somewhat rowdy neighborhood, with ample music venues, bars and restaurants. Despite its rowdy reputation, the neighborhood is home to a lot of history. In the nineteenth century, the Lower East Side was a popular neighborhood for immigrants, arriving from Europe, and was a hub of New York City's Jewish life.
